" Balut City " Orig.oils 16 X 20 2012 $25000 PRINTS: 100 Limited Edition 1st print $2500 2nd print $2000 3rd print $1000 4th to 100 prints, $500 each. Numbered and signed by me. Balut are duck eggs (delicacy in the Philippine Islands-did you know there are over 7000 islands in the P.I.). I didnt realize there are so many diff.types of ducks and birds (some looks prehistoric). I Made a condo of the huts, lol. In Baguio city you hand out some money and a kid will climb up a cliff to take your money out of your hand (they climb about 2 stories-its unbelievable)the kids climbing up the cliff (with no protection-it means they climb with bare hands and feet). Bangka (Philippine boat), rice terraces are quite a scene, it must have taken the Igorot tribes eons to hand carve lots of mountains. If you know any Filipinos ask them what is balot? (its pronounced ba-lut). I ate it when I was a kid (it was very good back then). Im planning on visiting next year, I dont know if I can eat it again, lol. btw: the guy in the boat is hauling nothing but duck eggs in white and dk red (pickled). Btw; thats a market (watermelon or egg)with little cars parked and next to it is a swimming pool in the egg(egg is light blue water and green and dk blue.). There are egg tunnels also where the road goes,etc...and more.
