Surreal art aspires toward the liberation of the mind and artistic expression. Gustav Holst 1875-1934 was one of the most original composers of his generation. He is remembered today for his popular orchestral work The Planets. Along with many of his contemporaries, Holst drew inspiration from the revival in interest in the English folk music tradition.
