After studying in Oaxaca University of Fine Arts, he has spent a 6 months stay in New York city and left for France. He lives and works in Paris since 1983. Alberto Ramirez has presented individual exhibitions in most European countries : France, of course, from galeries in Le Marais to Unesco siege, but also in Germany, Holland, England and Belgium. He had serveral shows in Japan, Tokyo and Nagoya, and exhibited in United States, mainly in Art Fairs (Chicago, Miami), in the «Cnetro de la Raza » in Washington D.C., and in the Mexican cultural centre in San Antonio, Texas. He has also participated in collective exhibitions in Canada and the Caribeans. In 2005, he was awarded by the society of French Painters during the annual fair in Paris. In Mexico, he has regularly exhibited in the Cultural Foundation of Casa Lamm and Art Museums in Mexico city, Oaxaca and Guanajuato. He was awarded in the first Art Biennale of the Contemporary Art Museum of Monterrey, Mexico.
