Atom was not the follower of new styles, when photographs trying to make they work look, like paintings, and visa versa, painters trying to make their portraits with photographic precision. Atom called that "manufactured" art. Nevertheless he has couple of oil on canvas paintings/portraits or pencil on paper artworks with maximal photographic precision. But, when you look at them a little bit longer, you see inspirational artwork, without any doubt.
