On a frozen lake at the Imperial Summer Resort at ChengDe in Hebie Province north of Beijing. The Kangxi Emperor built the first palaces there in the early 18th Century, and his grandson, Qianlong, added the vast surrounding park; ChengDe, Peoples Republic of China, 2002.
