About The Artist

Sheba Wanjiku (Kenya) has been tapping into art since 2001 while she was living in Italy. She was schooled in photography in Italy and in Iceland. Her main passion is photography and carpentry. Sheba’s work follows the raw industrial part of her surroundings. Her art is continuous, with multiple identities. She tries to capture the tools, the environments, the machines, the roads and materials of her woodworking environment. In Iceland, Sheba and her partner created a multidisciplinary space where people from all backgrounds could develop their interest in art. After recently relocating to Kenya, Sheba set up a similar space, open to whomever is interested in creating or learning any form of art in Nairobi. Mainly in woodworking as the space if a fully equipped workshop.
