About The Artist
• Born in 1971 at Kolhapur in Maharashtra (India).
• In 1991, completed BFA (Applied Arts) from Sir J. J. Institute of Applied Arts, Mumbai. Since then working as a painter, illustrator and designer.
• Awarded by "Pandit Satwalekar Pratisthan, Pune" for the year 2010.
• Achivement : Two works (Watercolours) are selected for Book Best of WorldWide WaterMedia Artist by Kennedy Publishing, US - A leading publisher in Art & Culture Books. This Volume will showcase 100 Top Watercolourist from the World. Innovative, Style & Uniqueness in handling the medium are the main consideration for the selection. The book will be published soon.
• Successful participation in two group shows in London.
• Co-authored and illustrated a fine art instruction book “Color Pencil” under the "Introduction to Colour Media" Series. More than 25,000 copies sold.
• After the grand success of the first book, published a sequel, "Pastel", in the same series.
• At present, working on two more books on drawing and rendering.
• Worked as editor as well as writer for some Fine Art books such as
J. D. Gondhalekar, Drawing & Sketching – a personal view series (Ravi Paranjape, Anant Kulkarni, Sanjay Shelar),etc.
• Designed and illustrated books for some well-known publishers since last more than 15 years.
• Designed three Postal Courses on Drawing and Painting, Landscape and Portraits.
• Conducted workshops and demonstrations for "Kalakalp-Art-by-Post-Institute" as well as other private institutions.
• Member of Representational Artist of Pune.
• All though many of the works are in Acrylics and Water Colour, I also work in other mediums like Oil, Charcoal, Pastel and Colour Pencil, Pen & Ink with equal command.
