About The Artist
I love color. I love to find it in nature and make it jump off the canvas. I have lived my life in a rural place that has grown urban. This has fostered a desire for me to paint what is disappearing. I love to find places that are untouched by modernity. I paint with a combination of knife and brush work that enables me to utilize texture and color to make my statement.
I have studied under my father Kent R. Wallis for the last five years. I learned to paint plein air above all else and it is still my passion, though I still do a lot of studio work as well.
