About The Artist

Brief excerpt: From 35 years of creative expression and commerce in photography. David’s fine art photographs hang in various private and corporate collections in Australia and overseas. His Melbourne InSpires BIG Picture Exhibition is in Museum Victoria’s collection, and his Melbourne InSpires limited edition fine art calendar series is in the State Library of Victoria’s collection. As well as his freelance career, David finds mentoring, teaching and promoting creative community deeply satisfying and rewarding. He lectures in Photo Media at the Australian Academy of Design, runs his own workshops and does one-on-one tutoring and mentoring. He is an energetic teacher and mentor committed to the long term creative journey and development of each of his students. His current personal project is a series of fine art architectural images on the theme of “Finding sacred space in a secular world”. His first exhibition of this series was at the recent Ballarat International Foto Biennale in Spring 2011, and at the Clement Meadmore Gallery in Port Melbourne earlier this year.
