About The Artist
Born in Mexico City in 1976. Francesca is a Communications Major by the Anahuac University. In 2002 she enrolls in Maine Media College and finishes the Professional Certificate in Photography Program. It is here that she starts with her first group exhibitions.
Francesca has also taken part in many other workshops with renowned photographers like Saúl Serrano, Francisco Mata and italian photographer Ernesto Bazaan.
In 2007 she is awarded 3rd place for a National Competition organized by BBVA Bank Foundation and Cuartoscuro Magazine. In 2008 Hazlo Ahora a non governmental organization invites her to form part of an exhibit named “El ABC de la Discapacidad” (The ABC´s of disability) which is still traveling through Mexico and promotes the equality of people with disabilities.
In 2010 Francesca is accepted into Galeria Barbabosa as one of its artists in Mexico City and in 2012 she is invited as one of the artist for Lasheras+Elliot Contemporary Gallery in Avándaro, Estado de México with important artist such as Bradley Narduzzi, Byron Gálvez and Ana Santos. In December 2012 she is selected among 500,000 artists to be in the project 1001 Artist in the Scope Art Fair Miami for See Me. In 2013 she is selected as a finalist at the Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series competition in Houston and she is exhibited in the Houston Museum of African American Culture through December.
Today Francesca is submerged in various personal projects and has also taken commercial photographs for many clients.
