About The Artist

Sue paints colourful, energetic acrylic and mixed media paintings that celebrate the natural world. She dances along the continuum from realistic to abstract, exploring the use of form and line to both define and disrupt her images. Creating paintings helps her process the emotions and experiences that arise from her advanced cancer diagnosis. She has been a professional artist for many years and now she has had to adjust her approach to painting to allow for her body’s ability to function properly. Sue has shown in art galleries world wide when she was able to travel, now she shows in galleries in Vancouver and Mexico, but sells online through her website and social media. She regularly shows in the juried Federation of Canadian Artists exhibitions, and has collectors worldwide.
