About The Artist
Born in New York in 1949, Nils Hill received a BFA in Sculpture from Philadelphia College of Art in 1971, and an MFA in Sculpture in 1973 from Indiana University. By 1980 he was working exclusively in the medium of painting. Since that time his work as been exhibited in solo and group shows in spaces including, The Berkshire Art Museum, Pittsfield, MA, The Katonah Museum of Art, Katonah, N.Y, Pace University, Pleasantville, N.Y., The Painting Center, New York, NY, Silvermine Guild Arts Center, New Canaan CT, Noho Gallery, New York, N.Y., The Studio Annex, New York, NY, The Arts Exchange, White Plains, N.Y., Gallery 128, New York, N.Y., and elsewhere in the United States. Mr. Hill lives in Croton on Hudson, N.Y., and has recently moved his studio from Ossining to Peekskill N.Y.
