About The Artist
I was born on 30 September 1980 in Kuopio, Finland. I currently live in Espoo. I am graduated as a Master of arts at Aalto university of art and design in department of applied arts. I have also graduated at the Institute of Design in Lahti where I was specializing in art and design at the Department of Applied Art. I have also studied at the Alfa-Art School of Arts in Helsinki, Lahti Institute of Fine Arts and the Adult Education Centres of Lahti and Espoo. Artist statement I approach my work of art from several directions, abstract, figurative and conceptual. I use to make a number of methods such as painting, sculpture, jewellery and installation, which in the process also often mixed with each other. As a creative person I have not experienced the need to focus on one method, but a variety of techniques, materials and approaches through the inspiration. From there I have reached the conclusion of the dynamic meaningfulness. The method derives its meaning for word methodos, which means, "carrying road." I believe that diversity is for me, the road, which is developing to realize myself. This messages through the environment to oneself essential the existence of meanings and experiences. The key thing of making art has been a curiosity and interest in new issues. It has increased the unconscious intuitive database on which artistic work has led me to the second factor, while specifying the orientation between the different methods. I trust, therefore, intuition and my work are based on the instrument, regardless of the experimental conclusion. The new learning by doing is a rewarding experience, which will remain addicted. Creating something new re-quires, however, the history, the material and the working methods and tools of knowledge. I respect the tradition, but I do not bow down to them. Experimental making cross the borders and fall down the fences. I believe that only courage to spoil the work, I can achieve a satisfactory process that will take me forward, and at best to impress me by.
