About The Artist

Born in Nagasaki Prefecture in 1935. Unusual for a traditional Japanese Nihonga painter,creating abstract pieces with wild and flashy colors. Painting themes rooted in a profound humanity and which hint at warnings to humankind such as desertification and nuclear accidents, Izaki seeks to make the world a better place, if even only a little.
