About The Artist


Thomas Francisco is an award-winning photographer and graphic designer and is president of Thomas Francisco & Associates, Inc., a graphic design and photography studio. A graduate of The Newark School of Fine and Industrial Art, Mr. Francisco’s career spans 38 years in graphic design, photography and fine arts. During that time he developed marketing concepts, graphics, collateral promotional materials and/or photographic images for such clients as BASF Corp., Black & Decker, Geoffrey Beene, Hopper Papers, Johnson & Johnson, Lenox China, Macy’s, Mikasa, Modern Bride Magazine, Reader’s Digest, Schering-Plough, Sony, Union Camp, Van Heusen Corp. and Verizon. His work in photography, graphic design and fine art is widely recognized. He has received awards from: The New Jersey State Council on the Arts, The Montclair Arts Festival, The American Society of Media Photographers New Jersey chapters, The Art Directors Club of New Jersey, The New Jersey AD Club, The Art Directors Club of New York, The International Advertising Festival, Print Magazine Annual Awards Show, The One Show / NY, The American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA) and others. A self taught, disciplined photographer, Mr. Francisco’s study of concept, lighting and composition is reflected in work recognized by Graphis, an internationally published showcase of photography. His images have been published in AR 100, Print Magazine Annuals, and photography source books such as the Workbook, Black Book, Single Image and others. He is a founding member and past president of the American Society of Media Photographers, New Jersey chapter (ASMP/NJ), a leading trade association for media photographers. In that role he spearheaded the formation of the Fine Arts Grants Fund to provide scholarship awards for student photographers. He is also a past member of APA, (Advertising Photographers of America) and AIGA.
