About The Artist

The Royal Academy of Arts in The Hague 1983-1988.Major disciplines: drawing and painting.Since then I have worked as an artist and took part in exhibitions at home and abroad.Content provides a great fascination for science, nature and history. This gives inspiration for the processing to a personal image and a certain alienation from reality.Often different elements are combined to create a new work. The raw beauty of an abandoned room with traces of a human presence is an inspiration for a number of works.Nowadays I make work that presents the human body and other organisms that causes a mysterious existence in my work. I usually make two-dimensional works such as paintings and drawings and small three-dimensional installations.Used materials: oil on canvas, pencil, ink and print on paper, textils, plastics and other materials.
