About The Artist

Franklim Barata is a self-taught painter and serigraphy artist. Born in Portugal, he moved to Angola with 2 years old. There, he spent his childhood, where he learned to paint alone using as inspiration the wild African landscape, having been acknowledged with drawing and painting prizes. With the end of the Colonial war and independence of Angola, he returned to Portugal, where he received training in artistic serigraphy and created his own company. His art is influenced by Impressionism, Realism and Expressionism
