NICOLA MAJOCCHI has always looked at life with humor, drama and sensuality, all of it spiked with an element of risk — and his photography reflects as much. Dividing his time between his native Italy, New York City and Los Angeles, Majocchi has had a colorful career, beginning as a downhill skier and then working as an assistant to legendary photographer Irving Penn. Today Majocchi is an internationally acclaimed photographer whose images are known for their fusion of postmodern edginess and Euro-romanticism.
