About The Artist
D.H.Boutin was born and raised on Vancouver Island British Columbia Canada. Her childhood was full of fun and adventure.
She was a successful Sales Executive in the Corporate world until 2014 she was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, a painful lifelong condition. Her life took a drastic turn and she was forced to leave the corporate world to seek solace from this dabilitating disease.
After playing around with her art she realized that this was helping her live with this condition. Within 6 months she was being told her art was worthy of selling. After 18 months of feverishly teaching herself how to paint, entering contests and taking part in shows, she has won awards, and has been selected to be in the New York Expo and magazine.
Her weird and wonderful imagination coupled with her abstract view of the world helps to shape her crazy and sometimes downright ridiculous pieces; a true energetic piece of her goes into every painting she does.
Boutin believes in giving and sharing with others always without exception and would give anything to know the world as a peaceful loving place. She regularly partners with charitable organizations to provide her original artwork to raise money for that charity. One such charity is Bridges for Women Society in Victoria, BC.
This is just but of one way she likes to give back and she wishes she could solve world hunger and the disparity of human rights on this planet. But until then you can find her happily painting out of her cozy studio on the west coast of Canada with her two dogs and husband by her side.
