"In this period I began to infuse into my work a deep interest in various occult subjects, alchemy, and mythology, especially the legend of Atlantis. This was also the period of my career which came to the attention of several leading writers on Surrealism, notably José Pierre and Sarane Alexandrian, who both published my work in academic studies, art history books and periodicals.
