About The Artist
German artist Tina Tahir’s work explores questions on the materiality and resonance of memory. Tahir constructs physical and virtual artworks depicting meticulously patterned surfaces that are reminiscent of textile production. Her objects and transitory installations have been part of international group shows in the USA, Canada, Germany, Italy, Greece, United Kingdom, and the UAE. She received an MFA in Studio from the University of Illinois at Chicago and an MA in Visual and Critical Studies from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.
