About The Artist
Stephanie Hamar is an Alaskan artist who works in traditional Haida arts including herbalism, weaving, and formline design/painting. She is also an established goldsmith, preferring to work in silver with precious gems.
Some of her notable accomplishments include: A study of a 19th-century bentwood box design, reproduced on red cedar. 20 feet of formline design to be painted on the side of a traditional dugout red cedar canoe which will be paddled 250+ miles to Juneau, Ak by the artist and other locals in 2020.
