www.artmarkus.com Born in Šabac, Serbia. Graduated at Academy of Art and master’s degree in painting in Novi Sad (mentor prof Milan Blanuša). PhD graduated from painting at „John Naisbitt“ university in Belgrade ( mentor prof. Milos Šobajic). Exhibited independently and on a lot of republic and international exhibitions. The most important independently exhibitions: MA exhibition, Novi Sad 2000; exhibition of paintings, Belgrade, 2002; exhibition by invitation for the Night of the Museum, Šabac, 2009; PhD exhibition of drawings and paintings, Belgrade 2012. More Important group exhibitions: Biennale in Florence 2017, introducing artist’s oeuvre 10 minutes video on the 50th Belgrade October salon; exhibition by selector invitation, modern drawing in Serbia 2003; October salons in Šabac, spring and fall salons in Belgrade; international exhibitions of small format, etc. Longer studying period in France and Italy. Member of ULUS (Association of Fine Artists of Serbia), vice-president of Art Council of ULUS, 2011-2013. A member and president of judges on a few republic exhibitions. The most important awards: Art Academy, N.Sad, 1981; October salon, Šabac, 1997; for portrait, Cultural centre Šabac, 1997; for painting, Cultural centre Loznica, 2000; Annual ULSS award, the National museum, Šabac, 2018; Award for drawing, The Cultural center, Šabac, 2018; the international awards in Mantova 2017 and Venezia 2018. Gave an interview for many TV shows about his art. Present in man y private collections and several institutions ( in the country and abroad). Lives in Šabac, Serbia.
