About The Artist
Pedro Luján-Vales attended “Universidad Iberoamericana” in Mexico City to study communications and at the same time he began to build himself as a professional photographer by studying in several institutions such as: CAF (Centro de Arte Fotográfco), Centro Cultural El Nigromante Bellas Artes and AAVI (Academia de Artes Visuales), where he joined numerous collective exhibitions.
When this period ended, Pedro decided to go New York City in order to firm up his studies as a photographer, so he joined schools of great recognition in the photography and fashion industry like: FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology), NYU (New York University) and ICP (International Center of Photography)
Whe he came back to Mexico City, Pedro could established a photographic studio.In 2009 Pedro had the big chance to live in Copenhaguen, Denmark, where he worked for important Danish companies like Bertoni Copenhaguen , the prestigious model agency Scoop Models Copenhaguen and meanwhile he spend time doing personal projects and perfectionate his photographic style. In this very same year Pedro traveled to London to take some courses about Styling and Lighting at the famous University of Arts London (London College of Fashion).
In 2011 Pedro was invited to have a exquisite exhibition called Crown Tales in Lisbon, Portugal at the Colorida Gallery.
At the moment , Pedro is living and working in Mexico City, and is part of the prestigious Covián Santa María (house of photography and representing photography) focus on doing personal work, fashion, editorial, and advertising photography. His clients to date include: Revista Quien, AVON México, Macario Jimenz, Pineda Covalín, Warner Music México, Editorial Televisa, amoATO studio among others.
