About The Artist

I am self-taught passionate Artist ,living in Mumbai. I graduated as a Science major and then went on to do Post graduate Diplomas in Interior Designing and also Fine Art & Multimedia Designing. I started painting early in my childhood and my passion to draw and paint continued on..After my graduation and it was around the beginning of 2000, that I started exhibiting my works in a variety of national arts festivals, group and solo shows within home country and International galleries.I have exhibited in UK,Germany,Russia ,Dubai,Mumbai,New Delhi,Hyderabad and Guwahati. My works are reflections of nonobjective memory, taking shapes of geometrical expressions. I love to experiment with the dynamics of movements within the plane and the viewer’s vision. The lines are strong and the colours range from soft hues of analogous to bright complementaries. I explore life and relate philosophy with geometrical compositions and I have immense interest in botanical works too. In my “orange Tree” series, a multi-faceted and surprisingly shrewd perception of the urban life represented in geometric, angular planes. I am also the Managing Editor of contemporary women art magazines and Art related coffee table books,which actively promote the art culture in India
