About The Artist


Hanna Dujmović was born on June 16th 1994 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. From 2012 to 2014. she attended a sculpture department in class of renowned Sarajevo artist and professor Hasan Haljevac. She attended the final year of schooling in the class of professor and academic sculptor Lejla Čehajić. During her second year of high school, she was hired to make an award for the first "Beton Fest" (street art fest) which was held in Sarajevo. Also in that period, her work relief "Still Life" was exhibited at an exhibition in Sarajevo's "haustors". Since 2015 she has been attending sculpture in the class of Professor Mirsad Šehić, accompanied by assistant Darko Stanić. She gained experience working with materials such as clay, plaster, wood, metal, stone. In 2016 she was selected as one of the representatives of the "Outdoor Atelier" project, which took place on the Festina Lente Bridge in front of the Academy of Fine Arts. In the second year of study, some of her works were exhibited in the premises of the Rectorate of the Faculty of Law, University of Sarajevo. In 2017 she took part in a traditional sculpting colony held in Cazin, the old town of Ostrozac. The goal of the colony is to preserve the cultural heritage, to enrich the public space located within the walls of the Cazin castle with sculptures made in Krajina's Bihacite stone. At the colony, she gained experience working with more complex material and thus with new tools that are used for processing. In 2017 she was nominated for the Alija Kučukalić Award as the best student in her class with the work "Mother Nature" - an figure in a semi-recumbent position made of pellet. Until now, pellet have never been used for the purpose of making a sculpture, so attention has been drawn to this work. After the nomination, she had a solo exhibition of works in the gallery of Raiffaisen Bank in Sarajevo, and was a participant in a group exhibition held within the gallery of the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo. In June 2017 she successfully graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Sarajevo with a high grade of ten. She was chosen as the Silver Badge of the University of Sarajevo. From the beginning of 2020, after a short break, she became active again in the field of artistic creation with her painting cycles (4). So far, she has participated in three International exhibitions: Sheroes in Quarantine, London, UK (the work was selected among the 14 best). Calling Across the Distance, San Francisco, CA, USA (the work was selected among the 33 best) Limitless art, Naples, Italy (the work was selected among the 16 best, is in second place). And at one local exhibition: WAS IST WALTER, History Museum of BiH, Sarajevo (installation selected among the best for the exhibition). Hanna's paintings are present on the world's largest platforms dealing with the promotion and sale of works of art to collectors worldwide (ArtFinder, Singulart, Saatchi). She is currently working part-time as a rhythmic gymnastics coach at KRG '' ARABESQUE '' Sarajevo at the Youth House Ćengić Vila in Sarajevo, and as a mentor at the art studio EdusKreativus (Youth Center Gorica).
