About The Artist

Guillermo Mason was born in 1965 in Tijuana, Baja California, in northern Mexico. From a very young age, he showed a fascination for abstract art and geometry, influenced by the colors and shapes he found in nature and music, elements that he would later capture in his works with a touch of humor and emotion.

His interest in technical drawing and design led him to study AutoCAD and Engineering Manufacturing, which allowed him to explore geometric precision and hone his attention to detail. However, his true love for art was consolidated when he began studying artistic drawing in 1976 at the Simón Bolívar Elementary School in Tijuana. This was just the beginning of a long path of learning and artistic growth.

Between 2016 and 2024, Guillermo completed his training at the Alison School in Mount Carmel, Loughrea, Ireland, specializing in Graphic Design: Visual and Graphic, Application of Design Principles, and essential tools of Adobe Photoshop CS6. In addition, he trained in Advanced Digital Photography and studied the work of Great Artists. His dedication led him to complete his final specialization as an Arts Manager, boosting his career as a visual artist focused on abstract art.

Guillermo has perfected innovative techniques such as Oil, Abstract Art with Air, Pouring Cells and Fluid Acrylic, creating his works under the influence of music, especially rock, which inspires him with its energy and rhythm. This connection with music allows him to develop compositions full of strength and emotion, where he seeks to make the viewer feel the colors and perceive the firmness of each detail in his works. Each piece reflects a unique, carefully studied technique that continually evolves, bringing new ideas to abstract art.

Throughout his career, Guillermo has participated in more than twenty solo exhibitions in San Diego and Tijuana, and for more than two years, he has been part of virtual international exhibitions, helping emerging artists gain visibility and recognition. His role as a cultural manager has been key in promoting both professional and emerging artists.

This year, Guillermo has a special project scheduled for December 14, 2024, when he will celebrate more than two years of supporting international artists through his virtual gallery. In addition, he has been awarded several recognitions for his cultural and artistic management, including the "Gold Management" award at the Encuentro de las Artes in Cartago, Costa Rica, for his commitment to promoting and promoting art and culture worldwide. He has also received recognition from Conteni2, Radio and TV for his outstanding work in the cultural field and his collaboration in the dissemination of art.

Currently, Guillermo lives in Chula Vista, California, and manages his virtual studio/gallery in Tijuana, where he continues to promote art, organizing virtual international exhibitions, and offering classes for those seeking to hone their artistic talent.
