Embracing the concept of eternal feminine, ‘Blessed’ is a photorealistic pencil on paper artwork; which simply highlights childbearing as one of the core essences of women. The artist chose to use a rather abstract blob objects to convey the intended concept to give a room for viewers to come up with their interpretations on what the drawing is about. Abstract drawing gives an element of fun, as it stimulates discussion among viewers, creating some sort of a guessing game on what the artwork actually depicts. The artist first created the desired shape with acrylic paint, then quickly photographed it while the paint is wet; and finally use the photographs as reference for this drawing. The color intensity is achieved by building layers upon layers of merely colored pencil strokes. The wet look of the paint highlights the sensuality of the feminine, while red color reflects the feminine’ s strong and compassionate nature. This artwork is framed and ready to hang.
