About The Artist
José Herazo-Osorio was born in Barranquilla, Colombia where he studied art and worked as a journalist and cartoonist for Colombian newspapers, such as El Espectador and El Heraldo. In 1969 he moved to Florida, USA, where he currently lives. He is an experienced traveler with great interest in art galleries and museums that he always visits during his trips. He is an acute observer of nature and human behavior that he absorbs to project in his art.
Herazo-Osorio has participated in juried art exhibits winning awards for the quality of his art. His paintings show the disintegration of human experiences through color and movement.
His art carries the bright colors and constant movement of forms from tropical lands that are the origin of his existence.
