ANAIT VARDAN Portrait
0.0 x 0.0
This portrait of Anait Vardan was created on New Year's Day, 2010. Because the painting was done using acrylics it took over forty sessions to arrive at the final impression. It was a laborious process, taking over three hours for each stage of development. Because the acrylics dried too fast the colors had to be gone over and over until the right balance was achieved. As a result, the painting was accepted as part of Longo's exhibition held on the upper East side on New York City. Although the painting is not for sale, the artist uses the painting to encourage subjects to have their portraits done on a commission basis.
