About The Artist

Born in Hull, Québec (Canada), Nadine Renaud is an emerging and self-taught artist. From an early age, drawing and painting were as natural as breathing and walking. Nadine could be categorized as multidisciplinary, experimental, original, open minded, innovative, always trying to push the limits (think "outside the box") and in continuous evolution. Her art is very intuitive; she has a vague idea how it will start but never how it will end – all influenced by her state of mind, emotions and the music she's listening. In her art, beauty, energy, sensitivity, strength, lines/forms and textures are intertwined to make one of a kind creation. Abstract Art is her specialty: her love for new methods gives her the opportunity to go beyond herself and to be opened to change. From one part, movement is the central core and from the other, an omnipresent texture – giving place to a visual and textural curiosity. Workshops and reading helps her improve her skills and learn new techniques. She is represented by galleries in Canada and abroad. Her paintings were part of GZ-Art 2012 (part of Art Basel), June 14-17, in Switzerland. Her paintings were also exposed (collective exhibition) at Galerie d'Art Fontaine (www.fontaine-art.com), in Gatineau (Buckingham area) Québec, from September to December 2011.
