About The Artist

My name is Tse. I am an 18 year- old self-taught artist and freshman at CSULB and LBCC. I am very active, and love to draw and paint. For as long as I can remember, I've had great dreams about becoming a successful artist, and now I am taking control of my dream. I’ve sold well over 50 pieces in my pursuit to make a name for myself as an artist. I am so passionate about what I do to a point where I feel like because I am doing something I love, I don't mind doing it for free or for little compensation. This is why in my spare time on weekends, I donate my artistic services to Christian churches and donate murals to enlighten the brightest souls I’ve met and will meet in the future. My style is very original and eclectic;I love to create from my emotions, dreams, fears, and revelations as live through life. I do not consider myself to be a contemporary artist. Artists that play with reality, like surrealists, Salvador Dali, and Rene Magritte, along with the great Cubist artist, Picasso, have inspired me as I was growing up and beginning as an artist. I am inspired by my atmosphere and my surroundings, while also being captivated by the everyday things that ignite my curiosity. Most of my early work, along with my represented art from my dreams, fears, and emotions, has been some of the backbone for my work.My style utilizes contrasts and unity within color, bold strong lines, imagery, and juxtaposition. I can work with almost any media from: pastels, to graphite, or paint on paper, and wood, but my specialty on canvas is acrylic. I am excited about helping people and delivering them from their deprivation of art, and excited to gain new knowledge within art. As a student and artist, I believe it is important to continue to learn about how to advance within my craft. My objective as an artist, student, and woman are to continue learning, helping, and teaching others with art.
