About The Artist

I had a long career in Food and Nutrition before transitioning to becoming an artist specializing in Food-based artwork.  I have a BS in Dietetics from Ohio University, a Master's Degree in Nutrition from the University of Cincinnati and a Certificate of Fine Arts in Painting from Glassell School of Art in 2012.  I work full time in my studio making mixed media artwork.

I have had 6 solo shows, created many private commissions, and created a 15'h x 30'w mural, "Equity for All", commissioned by Houston Midtown Management District in 2012.  In 2020, I made a monumental (130 feet wide) French Patisserie for a client's home on 5 panels.  Patisserie Larsen created the illusion of an authentic Parisian Patisserie with 3 dimensional tarts, cakes eclairs, macaron Tower and even the families favorite desserts, some resembling the family pets.    I had 2 solo shows in 2023.  DELICIOUS!! February 3 - March 18, Gallery 200 in The Silos, featured fifty Paintings, sculptures, and mixed media artworks.  I was a guest on  Houston Live, interviewed about DELICIOUS! https:// www.click2houston.com/houston-life/2023/02/08/local-artist-creates-unique-pieces- that-look-so-good-youll-want-to-taste-it/. I also had a solo show, Portraits:UP Close and Personal in Gallery 300,  August 1- 30 The Silos, featuring a collection of my mixed media Portraits.
