About The Artist
Renata Mac Dowell Quattrone, a journalist, took ten years to become Renata Adler an artist:
Carioca, who had a column in Veja Rio magazine and before worked for TV Globo in New York, needed this time to study and feel mature in the new career. She went to Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts for four years, and also to Parque Lage School of Visual Arts, with mentor, Professor João Carlos Goldberg. In the middle of this professional change, her marital status also changed: Renata married, Alan Adler.
The artist showed the results: in 2017 when she opened the solo show "The Path of the Planets" at M.Gallery by Sofitel in Santa Teresa, with several sculptures and within the same theme she inaugurated another exhibition in September at the gallery of Parque das Ruínas in Rio de Janeiro. In 2018, she was invited to participate in a group show, Monumental Art at Marina da Gloria, also participated in the collective exhibition, RioOpen Art. And recently, in 2019, another solo exhibition "A Continuous Transformation" at the gallery of Casa de Cultura Laura Alvim in
Ipanema, Rio de Janeiro.
