2019 Fabrics - bazin 248 x 119 cm Djoliba means "Niger river" in Mandingo. In Mali, between the cities of Djenné, Mopti and Tombouctou, stretches a vast flood plain: the interior delta of the Niger river. The work Djoliba tells its story and the life of its inhabitants, who fascinated me when I discovered them during from my travels in the region.
