South Africa’s two biggest communities are our natural resources; mining and our agriculture food processing. Both are known for the strikes in recent years This painting can be seen as a normal hay bale. But... it reminded me of fairytale, Rumpelstiltskin, where the millers daughter had to spin straw into gold The yellowiest unworthy straw turned into gold, now simply painted as an ‘ingot’ of straw The concept is as old as time would tell with environmental surviving concerns to provide food.
